Latest “Flowchart” on France’s Influences!

Hello! Proud to say that i’m still upholding my daily post challenge! I recently created a flowchart for my social studies class on a site called Plectica(it works quite well to be honest, you can check it out at plectica.com).

Being part French I decided to base my flowchart on France’s political and economic influences. It’s amazing that events or time periods that happened as far back as 500 B.C.E could possibly influence France in 2018!

You can access my flowchart here here, tell me what you think! Does your country(or do your countries) have any similar influences than France’s? Do you think I may have forgotten some important ones?

What I like about Technology

What I like about technology is that it makes life many times easier. For example, instead of picking up a dictionary and spending 5 minutes just to find one word definition (sometimes the word isn’t even in the dictionary) I can look up a word on google and get the definition within seconds as well as pronunciations, translations, synonyms, and antonyms. Although technnology isn’t super reliable due to battery and wi-fi connection, I still find it very useful and I really appreciate the time it saves me. Furthermore, new technology is always being devoloped and theres almost always something to help you no matter what you need.

How Do I learn best in school?

I feel like I learn best in school when the lesson is interesting. I like it when there are discussions, activities, and images. If the whole lesson is just reading out of a boring textbook (some books are interesting) then it’s harder to stay focused on the textbook and actually remember what it says. When I’m reading something very monotone and uninteresting I feel like I read but I don’t take in what the book says. I’ll get to the bottom of the page, and then realize I have no idea what the book is talking about and that I need to reread the page.

Pirate

—Why do you think it’s illegal for people to pirate or plagiarize other people’s work?

It is illegal because it is still stealing, it’s just digital. Downloading a movie illegally is like stealing the disc from a shop.

—What are some ways to use and rework copyrighted materials ethically and legally?

You download the music legally and then you add value to it. You can also ask permission from the creator.

—What is something new you learned that helps you be responsible and respectful toward other people’s creative work?

That stealing and pirating others creative work is not good because that will discourage the creator to make more content.

Learning From Fails and Succeeding

Running down a hill at top speed can end badly. I learned that the hard way. I was running down the hill as fast as I can with my friend trying to tag him. There were leaves at the bottom of the hill. You can already guess what happened. We both slipped on the leaves and fell. I scraped my whole knee. I learned my lesson, not to run down a steep hilltop at top speed with slippery leaves at the bottom and in crocs.

The next time I was going down a steep hill was with my scooter. This time there as nothing slippery, my brakes were working, and I knew how to use my scooter well. I raced my friends to the bottom and ended up winning in 2nd or 3rd place. No accident at all since I slowed down and made smart curves and didn’t brake suddenly. I avoided anything that looked like it could make me fall.

What is Technology?

I believe that technology is the tools created by humans to make life easier or to do different things.

When I think of technology I usually think of electronic devices like computers and phones.

I know that I use technology many times every day and that we keep getting more and more technology.

I know that technology can be very helpful but also sometimes has flaws.

I want to learn more about what new technologies we have today. I also want to learn more about how computers work and I want to learn more coding on scratch.

work and I want to learn more coding on scratch. Lastly, I want to learn more about video editing.

When i looked at my quiz score i got angry.9/10… AGAIN! Last time we had a test i got 39.5/40and
before that i got 9.5/10.Is there no such thing as getting 100% on a quiz or test?! Every time there is a small mistake that ruins everything.I always get a score which is 1 to 0.5 points away from 100%.
